WHAT PEOPLE IN THE INDUSTRY ARE SAYING ABOUT THE CAMERA CLASS - TWO

WE HAD LOTS OF FUN WHILST LEARNING...
'I thought that Tony and Leo have worked the course worked out extremely well to suit people of all levels. Even for those, like myself, who have considerably experience in making films, there was a lot I learned and lots more I felt that I would like to learn if I had the chance. It was extremely stimulating and interesting, the time absolutely flew by and we had lots of fun whilst learning.'
Aviva Ziegler: Director
CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS...
A terrific introduction to the practical use of a camera for journalists trying to made the leap into multi skilling. Clear instructions and very practical, it was incredibly useful.
Marion Wilkinson: Journalist
AN ABSOLUTE MUST...
As someone who has filmed stories a number of times as a video journalist, this camera course is an absolute must, especially for someone who is starting out. Tony and Leo not only make the lessons fun and more importantly keep it very practical and provide feedback on your film techniques a mere hour or two after the class beginning. Their valuable tips are always in the back of my mind on my various assignments throughout Indonesia.
Drew Ambrose: Video journalist - ABCTV
FEELING LIKE I WAS CAPABLE OF SHOOTING PROFESSIONALLY...
'The course was a great help, in two days I moved from being aware of only the basics of operating a camera to feeling like I was capable of shooting professionally. Very happy with the course, will certainly look at attending any extra module.'
Tom Spiers: Designer/Animator/Digital Video enthusiast
THIS COURSE WILL BE INVALUABLE...
'Tony and Leo run a course which manages to serve participants of various levels of experience. Whether you're a raw beginner or someone who has previously done some shooting (but have never really felt entirely confident with the results!) then this course will be invaluable. Prior to doing this course, I knew my way around a PD150 and had shot material for broadcast. However, rather than feeling confident, I was always shooting from instinct; terrified that the end result would not be usable, and not knowing what to do to ensure it would be! Tony's calm and logical approach to shooting and to teaching shooting demystified the process for me. I have now learnt 'best practice' and can recognise what I am doing right, and wrong. I would recommend it to anyone whether raw beginner or more experienced.'

CONFIDENT...
'Having done the Camera Class, I'm reasonably confident that I can go out on a solo digicam shoot and not stuff it up!'
Ben Cheshire: Australian Story Producer
IT IS FANTASTIC TO LEARN ...
'The course was great. Tony and Leo gave us all a very solid grounding in camera and sound. They made it clear, easy to understand and fun. It is fantastic to learn from guys with such a depth of practical experience. I'd recommend the course anytime.'
Laura Zusters: Freelance editor-director
I CAME AWAY AFTER TWO DAYS...
'I started this course with no video camera experience and came away after two days with the confidence and skills I need to pursue my project... (plus plans for many more projects). Tony and Leo's passion for their craft translates into a very positive learning experience.'
Eva Marosy-Weide: Visual Artist
DEMYSTIFIED THE TECHNICAL SIDE OF CAMERA AND SOUND ...
'Tony and Leo's instruction was superb. It's amazing what they packed into the two days and I came out of it feeling that the lessons had demystified the technical side of camera and sound. I'd feel quite happy now about shooting a basic interview and a not-too-adventurous sequence in the field. The course has also given me a hugely increased respect for the art of good professional camera work; but it has also made me aware of the enormous potential of these small DVC cameras in current-affairs TV story-telling.
